A week of bitch-whinging from Manchester fans.
I was unimpressed with SBS’s coverage of the cup final. If you’re going to have a one-eyed Mancunian in the commentary box, and a one-eyed Mancunian on the couch next to Craig Foster, you could at least balance it with a Chelsea fan.
Neither team played a brilliant game, but based on the SBS coverage, I’m glad that Manchester lost. The “over the line” controversy is irrelevant: firstly, the ball only went into the goal because Giggs’ momentum pushed Cech over the line – a clear foul. Secondly, the ref didn’t signal a goal, so there’s no point whinging about it.
So if you meet a Manchester fan this week, hit them with a pre-emptive “shut up” from me.
Addendum: Craig Foster was a voice of reason amongst the other crap.
