Company IT Policy
This is a good one, and just about makes it impossible for me to do my job:
Do not transfer information using any means including USB mass storage devices and floppy diskette, CD/DVD Media and email.
I challenge anyone to beat that clause.

heh - it is a classic one stu.
I think it’s similar to other workplaces whereby they make an IT policy unenforceable to ensure that they have a back reason if they want to terminate you.

We here at the DBRTMNS don’t need a reason to terminate you. We just do.
Kindly join the queue of recently terminated humanoids and fill in form no. 89051-33 to apply for ‘terminated’ status.

Bahahahahaaa……….
It’s funny ‘cos you have to apply for terminated status even though you’ve already been terminated but you still have to ‘cos if you don’t your status wont be updated and then no one will know you’ve been terminated even though you have!
Hilarious!

Sure, they could use end point security, but do they block outbound ftp connections.
The key is to make it broad enough so it covers every bit of technology, then not monitor and use it if someone is already a problem.
